The Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery is committed to providing services that is safe, quality and friendly.

Our Mission

To represent the profession in matters related to plastic and reconstructive surgery in the state of Sarawak. 

To provide a common platform to articulate thoughts, aspirations and voices of the growing number of plastic and reconstructive surgeons, medical officers and paramedics in the state of Sarawak.

To provide the interchange of knowledge among the members, to establish links with the other plastic surgery associations and societies, and to disseminate information to the members of the society and the public mainly in the state of Sarawak.

To achieve the above objects, the following activities may be organized: seminars, workshops, annual scientific meetings with themes related to plastic and reconstructive surgery. In addition, research activity will be encouraged and supported.

Our Logo

Description of the Logo

The Logo is primarily black in colour and shield-like in shape with circular Borneo tribal motive enclosing image of a hornbill and a silhouette of human face.

The name of the Association is written below the shield.

Meaning

The shield-like shape represents integrity in providing education, advocacy, practice support and enhanced public awareness of the value of plastic and reconstructive surgery while fostering highest professional, ethical and quality standards.

The circular Borneo tribal motive represents vast ethnicity in the state of Sarawak and the Association as a strong advocate for patient safety.

The hornbill coloured in black, red, orange and yellow represents the state of Sarawak continuously evolving over time to its present state.

The silhouette of human face signifies a metaphor for elegance and beauty which defines the work of plastic and reconstructive surgery.

The colour black represents strength, seriousness, power, elegancy and authority of the Association.
